A Matter of FAQ

For your ease of reference, a list of questions often asked.

Why can't I pay online and have to request for an invoice instead?

We work on a quotation basis, which allows us to confirm the availability with all our suppliers prior to your payment and shipping. (We will honor the prices advertised online.) We will send you all the shipping details and a payment link so you can still pay from the comfort from home - a kiss of tech and a touch of old school.

I am looking for something specific but could not find it on your website.

Our products on the website is not exhaustive. Please contact us to source it for you, we can also provide you with a non-obligatory quotation for your consideration.

I need some guidance on bike sizing and type of bikes.

We do have a guide but some suppliers might have different measurements. Saw something you like but not 100% sure if the size or purpose is suitable? Every rider has different needs and wants, let us walk you through the oasis of choices.

Will I need to build the bike when it arrives?

Not if you collect from our store – all shop collections for complete bikes ordered are assembled in our workshop free of charge. We also give you complimentary puncture sealants. That is how much we want you to have a safe and fun ride.

All bikes are delivered in boxes otherwise and some assembly will be required. We recommend having it assembled safely by a professional bike mechanic.

I want to return or refund something.

Please find all the info you need by clicking here: return, refund and exchange

Do you do insurance quotes?

Yes we do, but there is a cost of R250 per quote that is fully refundable should you proceed to purchase the quoted item(s) from us. Please contact us with details.

I don't trust you.

Valid and healthy skepticism in today’s climate of online scammers. Our physical store has been around since 2017, see what our customers have to say. It always pays to be careful, if you see anything suspicious on the website, please let us know straightaway.

For everything else, we are just a few clicks away:

Bike Size Guidance

Ready for your next bike but not sure of the sizing? Let us guide you easily below.

The right bike size depends on the type of bike you are buying, followed by your height, and then your leg inseam.

1: The Type of Bike

Sizing varies with different types of bikes and manufacturers, between road bikes and mountain bikes and naturally, men’s and women’s models.

Consider a bike with a small frame for aggressive riding on more technical terrains, for easier maneuvering. On the other hand, if you are looking to ride faster on more even terrains, you would want to shop for bikes with bigger frame sizes.

All said, it still comes down to your comfort level and your riding style.

2: Your height

Bikes are measured by their seat tube length, starting from the center of the bottom bracket or the centre of the the crank arm's bolt.

Again, different manufacturers may measure the frame size differently.

1: Your leg inseam

You can calculate the suitable bike frame size by multiplying your leg inseam in centimeters to 0.66 or 0.7 depending on what type of bike you are choosing.

  • Mountain bikes: Leg inseam (cm) x 0.66

  • Road bikes: Leg inseam (cm) x 0.7

For example, if your leg inseam inseam is 77cm and you are looking for a road bike, the correct frame size will be 54cm.

3. CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS (NOT COVERED BY CPA)

We understand that sometimes a customer may change their mind after purchasing a bicycle. Because the CPA does not require businesses to accept such returns, we accept change-of-mind returns at our discretion only, under the following conditions:

If we accept a change-of-mind return, a Handling & Reconditioning Fee will apply to cover:

  • Inspection

  • Safety checks

  • Cleaning

  • Adjustments
